Alys Beach On 30A
There are just some things in life that hold a very special place in your heart. This is one of them...Alys Beach.
The “visualness” of this gorgeous spot on both sides of the road simply stops me in my tracks. The architecture of the all white structures is stunning against the overly blue skies of the 30-A area. Definitely one of Florida’s jewels, it sparkles and shines like no other.
It is perfect for couples wanting a retreat and yet so very family friendly. We have been as a family numerous times, been as a couple several times and have enjoyed a week long trip with five high school graduates...all boys. Each time was wonderful in its own way. There is no lack of dining options either. Family friendly Mexican and Italian restaurants, ice cream shops along the sidewalks and five star fine dining.
My most favorite part? Getting to ride our bikes all through this gorgeous Emerald Coast beauty with no fear of being run over! It is definitely bike friendly. If you’re lucky enough to go, order your bikes, beach chairs and dinner reservations all in advance. They fill up quickly.
Where to make these reservations for dinner you ask? George’s at Alys Beach, Restaurant Paradis, Pescado, La Crema Tapas & Chocolate, Cowgirl Kitchen, Cuvee 30A, and Caliza. There are so many more but these are definite highlights for your trip.
Take your sunblock, your flowy, breezy, southern summer dresses and a supply of books to read on the beach!
