Why So Blue?

Having grown up in the late 70’s and early 80’s I have always been familiar with blue and white accessories, china, ginger jars and the like. My mom enjoyed decorating our home with it and she had chosen Blue Danube as her china. A true classic never really falls out of favor, but sometimes can be overshadowed by other trends. Blue and white has risen back to the top and is clearly here to stay. Classics always do.

On a trip to Mooresville, North Carolina I hit every antique/vintage/junk store I could find in this sweet little town. I think all the stores called ahead of me and said ”she’s headed your way”. They were all welcoming, kind, helpful and ready to make a deal! Every single piece of “Blue and White” pictured here has found a new home.

It was an exciting few weeks for my customers to walk into my shop and find this treasure trove of favorite finds.
