This year Amy Montgomery is opening the veranda at her home to the Gardens of Columbia tour and is setting the veranda with beautiful spring tables and fresh florals, and she will be revealing phase one of her and John's cottage garden transformation.

As a special treat, Amy Montgomery Home (the shop) is offering a boxed lunch for purchase.  Boxed lunches are purchased in advance separate from the Gardens of Columbia tour tickets. Monday, May 12th is the cut off for purchasing boxed lunches.  Orders may be placed online ONLY.  Lunches will be available from 10:30am until 2:00pm on Friday, May 16th at Amy Montgomery Home (shop) at 808 Walker Street (street directly behind Amy's residence).  Garden punch and water will be available with the purchase of your boxed lunch. 

You are welcome to take the lunches with you or enjoy them in the courtyard at Amy Montgomery Home, 808 Walker Street (shop). Seating is first come first served in the courtyard. In case of inclement weather lunch seating will not be provided. You can take your boxed lunch with you.

Boxed lunches will include:

  • Croissants with Southern favorites... Pimento Cheese and Cucumber Benedictine 
  • James K. Polk Pickles
  • Summer Pasta Salad
  • Chez Babette Macarons 
  • Cheese Wafer & Crackers
  • Garden Punch & Water

The Gardens of Columbia, presented by the James K. Polk Memorial Association, is a biennial celebration of gardening in our historic town. Since 1929 the Association has preserved the only surviving home of the nation’s eleventh President, offering daily tours, original exhibitions, and ongoing events & programs throughout the year. All proceeds from the Gardens of Columbia support the nonprofit’s mission of preservation and education.
